Aleksei Vanamois [ DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY ] Cinematographer

SUNSTUDIOS

He graduated with a BA in Communication Design from the National School of Design at Swinburne University in 2003, and started his career as a graphic designer developing a strong visual sense of imagination with a diverse and creative skill set.

It wasn't long before Cinematography became an obsession where he could apply his craft and technical know-how to create striking cinematic visuals with strengths in the following fields: VFX, Virtual Production, Commercials, Corporate and Documentary.

Has worked with the following international and domestic brands: Pepsi, Hyundai, Telstra, Optus, Downer, ALDI, Credit Suisse, Aware Super, Abbott, Google, Tik Tok, P&O Cruises and Roses Only.

He fly's a DJI Mavic 3 drone, and holds a CASA Remote Pilots License and Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate.

Has volunteered his time on the Australian Cinematographer Society NSW Branch Committee since 2013, including five years as the NSW Branch Secretary.

Occasionally works as a lecturer sharing insight and philosophies into the craft of film making.

Recently worked with the legendary director and mentor Alex Proyas, deep diving into virtual production and VFX.

He often grades his own work with extensive knowledge of the post production process.
